Ninety-seven new Rex London lines arrive in the Bobangles warehouse late July 2026, the biggest single Rex London drop in two years. The new lines are organised into eight retail-ready categories, with the strongest fixture stories the brand has shipped in years.
Two pieces of news for Bobangles stockists in the same week. First, the Rex London drop itself. Second, our backorder feature is now live on bobangles.com.au, with Rex London as a lead brand. You can lock in your allocation today — no deposit, no payment until dispatch. Stock is allocated in the order backorders are placed, so the early movers get first pick on the short-run SKUs.
This post is your category-by-category guide to the drop and the hero picks worth leading each Rex London bay with.
Why Rex London, Why Now
Rex London is Bobangles' largest brand by SKU count and a top-volume seller across the Bobangles portfolio. Founded in 1981 on London's Portobello Road, the brand designs colourful, character-led gifts and lifestyle accessories under the philosophy of 'Gifts of Random Kindness'. The range runs on constant newness, with new designs dropping weekly out of London.
What makes this drop different is the scale. Ninety-seven new lines in a single container is the kind of release that lets you do more than refresh — it lets you build new category stories into your store. Three of the new ranges are full lifestyle stories rather than single SKUs (Cherry, Periodic Table, Vinyl Record). One mid-floor table or a single wall bay can carry ten or more SKUs sharing a design language, cross-merchandising cleanly from accessories through to homewares. That is the kind of fixture build a 97-line drop unlocks.
Rex London also remains the lowest-barrier brand to land in any retail mix. The bulk of the portfolio sits at counter and pocket-money price points, designed for checkout displays, party bags, stocking stuffers, and the 'I saw this and thought of you' gift. The new release reinforces that, with a counter-and-impulse block sitting alongside the new lifestyle ranges and a complete cycling category arriving as one fixture.
How Rex London Backorder Works
Browse the new lines on your wholesale account. Add them to a backorder cart. No deposit at checkout. We invoice on dispatch the day the container clears the warehouse, late July 2026.
Allocation runs in placement order. A backorder placed this week sits ahead of one placed in three weeks for the same SKU. For ranges built on hero pieces (Cherry, Sausage Dog, Cycling), that order matters once short-run lines start to thin.
If you want a hand walking through the new lines or building the right backorder mix for your store, your Bobangles rep can sit with you on a call.
The Eight New Rex London Categories
1. Cherry Range — A Full Lifestyle Story in 10 SKUs
The standout new story of the drop. Ten SKUs built off one cherry motif, designed to merchandise as a single fixture from accessories through to homewares.
The range covers a transparent cherry umbrella, an insulated lunch bag, a snack box, an A5 notebook, a hair clip set, a pendant necklace, a keyring, a trinket dish, a foldaway storage bag, and a pencil case.
Hero pick: the transparent cherry umbrella. Rex London transparent umbrellas have a track record across the portfolio, and a standing umbrella at the back of a Cherry display draws the eye from across the floor. Cross-sells naturally into the Cherry lunch bag and pencil case at the same fixture.
Merchandise it: one mid-floor table or one wall bay. Use the umbrella as the visual anchor, build the soft accessories around the base, finish with the trinket dish and pencil case at touch-and-feel height.
2. Sausage Dog and Dog Park — 10 SKUs of Character-Led Breadth
Ten new SKUs extending one of the brand's strongest recurring characters. The drop covers a Sausage Dog wallet, a pencil case, a cookie cutter set, a magnetic shopping list, playing cards, a travel cup, snack boxes, a foldaway storage bag, and Dog Park character plasters.
Sausage Dog already has a dedicated collection on bobangles.com.au and a loyal repeat-buy customer base. The character collector starts with stationery, returns for mealtime, then builds out into bags and umbrellas. Depth in the new SKUs compounds your existing Sausage Dog sales rather than competing with them.
Hero pick: the Sausage Dog wallet. Adult-priced, gift-wrappable, and a clean upgrade for the customer who started with a Sausage Dog ruler eighteen months ago.
Merchandise it: combine with your existing Sausage Dog stock under one banner. Don't split old and new across two fixtures. The point of a character collection is for the customer to see the full set in one place.
3. Get Pedalling — A Complete Cycling Category in 9 SKUs
Nine SKUs land together as a complete cycling accessory set. Bike bells in Prehistoric, Wild Wonders, Fairies and Shark designs. Bike streamers in blue, unicorn and fairies. Bike spoke lightning bolts, a cyclist puncture repair kit, and a cyclist multi-tool round out the range.
This is one of the cleanest standalone stories in the drop. Merchandise it as its own bay rather than scattering SKUs across categories. One cycling display at the counter or near the kids' section gives you a full spring and early summer story in a single fixture, cross-sells with helmets and scooters where stocked, and covers both kids' and adult cycling at the same price point.
Hero pick: the Shark bike bell. Strongest character carried into the new category, and a conversation starter on the fixture.
4. Glow in the Dark Shapes — 5 New SKUs at One Price Point
Hearts, Stars, Aliens, Dinosaurs, Unicorns. One price point, one display footprint, five themes that cover the main demographic splits without cannibalising each other.
Glow in the Dark is already a standalone collection on bobangles.com.au and a proven counter-display category. Stock the full five-pack rather than cherry-picking. Pocket-money and party-bag velocity depends on having all five themes present so customers can pick by character rather than settle for what is on the peg.
Hero pick: the Dinosaurs Glow in the Dark set. Predicted highest velocity off the back of the existing Rex London Dinosaur tattoo and party-bag performance.
Merchandise it: a single peg or hook strip at the counter, all five themes facing forward. Restock category once volume is established.
5. Craft, Games and Novelty — The Counter Block
The counter and impulse block of the drop. Several smaller SKU sets that share a fixture rather than build their own.
Garden games cover skipping sets, hopscotch mats, jacks and a rocket launcher. Craft runs through stitch-your-own daisy and butterfly keyrings and a pom pom kit. Novelty adds Cosmic Love and Mermaid temporary tattoos, wind-up music boxes, and Farmyard character plasters.
Tattoos remain the proven seller. Shark, Magical Unicorn and Dinosaurs have moved over 2,000 combined tattoo units across the last six months through Bobangles. The new Cosmic Love and Mermaid designs extend the range without shifting the price point or asking for a category reset. Drop them straight onto the existing tattoo peg.
Hero pick: Cosmic Love temporary tattoos. New theme, proven format, no merchandising work required.
6. Farmyard Lunch Suite — A New Mealtime Story
A new Farmyard-themed mealtime and storage range covering a storage box, a lunch box, snack boxes, and coordinating Farmyard character plasters.
Sits neatly alongside the existing Baby Dino, Sausage Dog and Space mealtime ranges for stockists already running a Rex London mealtime wall. For toy shops and gift stores building out the back-to-school category for term three, this is the cleanest mid-year addition.
Merchandise it: lunch boxes at eye height, snack boxes and storage boxes at touch level, plasters at counter or beside the till. The Farmyard plasters cross-merchandise into the Craft, Games and Novelty fixture too.
7. Periodic Table — A New Adult-Gifting Theme
Rex London has extended its adult-gifting themed strategy with a Periodic Table range, an A5 notebook, insulated snack boxes, a travel cup, and playing cards.
Aimed squarely at the science teacher, the university bookshop, and the STEM-gifting customer. Sits alongside existing map and astronomy themed stock and gives bookshops, museum stores and gallery shops a clean Father's Day and end-of-year teacher edit by August.
Hero pick: the Periodic Table A5 notebook. Lowest price point in the range and the easiest first sell at gift wrap.
Merchandise it: pair with the Vinyl Record range below for a single adult-gifting fixture, or sit it alongside existing themed stock as a teacher and STEM edit.
8. Vinyl Record — A Music Lover Crossover
Parallel to Periodic Table, the Vinyl Record range covers a fridge magnet bottle opener, music-themed fridge magnets, coasters, and a multi-tool.
Pitched at music lovers and record-store crossover customers. Both Periodic Table and Vinyl Record are priced for gift wrap and impulse add-on, and work across gift shops, galleries, and museum stores as well as general giftware.
Hero pick: the fridge magnet bottle opener. Predicted single best mover across the range based on equivalent format performance in other themed lines.
Merchandise it: pair with Periodic Table on a single adult-gifting table, or run as the Father's Day window edit in August.
